Doctor

  • Jen Miller , DVM



    Dr. Miller grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland and joined our Woodworth family in 2005.  She completed her undergraduate degree at JMU and she graduated Cum Laude in 1996 from Tuskegee Veterinary school.  She became Co-Owner of Woodworth Animal Hospital in June 2012 and her special interests here  includes Feline, Reproduction, Dentistry, and Ultrasounds.
     
    Dr. Miller currently lives on Critter Haven Farm with her husband, Patrick Kyger and her two sons, Riley, and Wesley. She also shares her home with 4 horses, their lab Obie, their dachshund Brownie, their chickens and their 5 cats: Angel, Sweet Pea, Tango, Tye Dye, and Truffles. 
     
    In her spare time, Dr. Miller enjoys snow skiing, horseback riding, tap dancing, singing, showing her chickens and many other outdoor activities. She is also very proud of her HUGE Star Wars collection.

  • Dan Woodworth , DVM




    Dr. Dan is a native of Waynesboro, Virginia.  His father, Dr. John Woodworth, started Woodworth Animal hospital in 1939. He joined our Woodworth family in 1950 and is a graduate of Waynesboro High School, Davis and Elkins College, and Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine (1968). His special interests here includes surgery both Orthopedic and soft tissue; and loves the client interaction and services. 

    He is married to Sue Woodworth and they have 5 children: John, Dr. Kelley, Becky Elkins, Mark, and Tom.  Sue and Dr. Dan are grandparents to 18 grandchildren. They also share their home with 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 20 breeding Dorset sheep.

    In his spare time, Dr. Dan is active in their church and participates regularly in foreign missions to Guatemala, Baja California, and Mexico. He is also active in the Kiwani's club and has served as president in 1973-1974 as well as 1993-1994.  He is a Hixson recipient in Kiwani's and is a member/previous member of the following: BRVMA, VVMA, AAHA, VASAM, and BRCC. Dr. Dan enjoys bicycling, scuba diving, travel and doing handyman projects for and with his family and friends.

  • Kelley Woodworth , DVM



    Dr. Kelley was born and raised in Waynesboro and did a lot of her growing up at Woodworth Animal Hospital.  She has always been around animals and loved them, but she did not always know that she wanted to be a veterinarian.  She completed her undergraduate degree at Juniata College in Pennsylvania. After college, she joined the Brethren Volunteer Service and spent 2.5 years teaching English in Poland. After her stint in the volunteer service, she was ready to go back to school and ready to return to Veterinary medicine. She graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and came back to Waynesboro to work with her father at Woodworth Animal Hospital.
     
    Dr. Kelley enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and rockclimbing. Her other interests include gardening, exercise, cooking, reading, and being with her family. They are members of the First Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro and are very active with mission and youth work.
     
    Dr. Kelley's son, Paris James, was born in 2004.  He is a super kid and lots of fun. Dr. Kelley's second child, Ezrah Bell, was born Feb 2008. She loves her dog Hank, and her two cats (Lulu and Pumpkin), and chickens.   Since James and Ezrah were born, she has been working part-time at the hospital and enjoys both jobs tremendously!

  • Leticia M Hansen , DVM



    Dr. Hansen grew up in Northern Virginia and joined our Woodworth family in July 2006. She attended the University of Virginia as an undergraduate and attained a degree in Psychology, she graduated from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary school in May of 2006. Her special interest here includes Internal medicine.  

    She currently lives in Charlottesville with her husband, a mechanical engineer, of four years, their son Finnegan Javier born Sept 7th 2009, and their four dogs. Yes, four dogs, 3 of which are rescues. Dr. Hansen also has a rotating foster dog at all times.
     
    Her interests and hobbies include cycling, hiking with her family, and gardening.

Management

  • Diyana Hagenlocker , Hospital Admnistrator



    Diyana was born and raised in Waynesboro and graduated from Wilson Memorial High School. She went on to attend college at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where she graduated in 1988 with an  Associates Degree in Retail Management and Visual Merchandising. She has been the Hospital Administrator since May of 2006, with a diverse background, providing her with the experience to realize her dreams. From retail management and banking to cleaning kennels and animal shelter management, it has all proved helpful in her role as Hospital Administrator.  Client education and customer service are essential and rewarding parts of her job as she is committed to helping people with solutions that will enable them to provide the best possible care to their pets. 
     
    Diyana lives in Stuarts Draft with her husband Jason, son Garrett, and four dogs, Willow, Maximus, Tia, and Hope. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and being an active participant in the volunteer program at the Augusta Regional SPCA.

Technician

  • Hilliary Vannoy , LVT


    Hilliary graduated from the Veterinary Licensed Technician program at Blue Ridge In May 07.  She has been working at Woodworth Animal Hospital since May of 2006. She has been active in the veterinary field since July 2001.  She has a boxer named Hannah,  three cats Milli ,Boo and Kairi.

  • Nikki Pannell , LVT



    Nikki graduated, May 2008, from the Veterinary Technician Program at Blue Ridge Community College.  She has been working here since March of 2005.  Her original position was a kennel assistant, and technician assistant. She has lived in Waynesboro all of her life and really loves it here. While attending high school, she was able to enroll in a program that allowed her to visit different businesses.  She chose Woodworth Animal Hospital and spent two years mentoring  here. It is then that she realized her love for animals.  She graduated from Waynesboro High School in June 2006 and immediately enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at Blue Ridge Community College. She has 5 wonderful cats, Levi, Simba,  Spook, Milky Way, and Sebastain. Her other pet is a Russian tortoise who is a lot of fun to watch!

  • David Kane , Certified Dental Technician



    David grew up in California, where he obtained his veterinary technician license. He has been working here since November 1997.  He is a member of the American Society of Dental technicians, the American Dental Society and a Certified Dental Technician.
     
    He also owns his own personal computer business,  Kane Computing Solutions and  assists with various computer needs around the hospital. He currently lives with his wife, Shelley, and stepdaughter in Mount Crawford.  His hobbies include learning about history and playing with his  dachsunds.

  • Amanda Forbes , LVT


    Amanda graduated in 2006 from the Veterinary Technician Program at Blue Ridge Community College. She has been part of the Woodworth team since July 2011.  She has been working in the Veterinary field since 1999, and has special interest in Pet Nutrition and Exercise.  She currently lives in Verona with her husband Lee, two dogs Kiara and Krypto, and her three cats Mr. Boo, Mr. Jingles, and Mr. Purrfect.   • Melanie Crespo


    Melanie has worked at WAH as a receptionist since 2002.   She currently lives with Stephanie Fitzgerald her two cats, BB, and Reeku, and a Chihuahua named Maddox. In her spare time she loves to watch movies, especially sci-fi and fantasy, which are her favorites. She also likes to play her playstation, surf the internet, and do anything electronic.

  • Treva Rexrode


    Treva has worked at WAH for 37 years!  She has worked as a receptionist for the majority of these years.  She has an Australian Shepherd named Taz, a Chihuahua named Chloe, three cats named Isis, Spiffy and Ori, and two cockatiels.  While not at work, Treva enjoys riding her Harley.

  • Stephanie Fitzgerald , B.A. Hospital Administration


    Stephanie graduated from Mary Baldwin College, May 2006, with a Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration. She works as a receptionist and an Inventory Specialist. She has a Chihuahua, named "Maddox", that she adopted from Woodworth. On her free time she enjoys shopping, surfing the internet, and spending time with her family.

  • Cheryl Reynolds


    Cheryl works as a part-time receptionist.  She has many years of experience in the customer service department. Cheryl lives in Waynesboro, Va with her husband and daughter Meghan.  She also has a daughter named Sarah who recently got married and  had her first baby boy, and is expecting another.  Cheryl also has a cat named Gracie and a boxer named Mattie.  She is an active member of her church and does volunteer work for the girl scouts.

  • Jesyka Rowzie


     

    Jesyka was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley.  She graduated from Stuarts Draft High School, and went to college in Columbia, Missouri for Pre-Vet and has also taken Vet assisting classes at BRCC. Jesyka, in 2010 became a Certified Dog Training Instructor, focusing on positive reinforcement.


    Jesyka now lives in Waynesboro with her soul mate Malahki (her dog,) and their rat, Scott. Her hobbies range from traveling, writing, photography, music, and more.

Kennel

  • Pat Kyger , Kennel Manager



    Pat grew up in Bridgewater, VA.  He lives with his wife Dr. Jennifer Miller and two sons Riley and Wesley.  He has a yellow lab named BalBoa, 5 cats named Angel, Tango, Sweet Pea, Truffles, and Tye Dye, and 3 horses.  On his spare time he loves to ski, horseback ride, and spend time with his family.

  • Amy McDonald


    Amy is a native of Waynesboro, VA.  She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, and attended Blue Ridge Community College.  She has worked in the veterinary field since 1986, as an animal care attendant/veterinary assistant.  She enjoys working with small animals, is an avid Miami Dolphins fan, and collects teddy bears.  She has a Golden Retriever named "Toby".

  • Rose Parler


    Rose is a certified veterinary assistant.  She graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at the Blue Ridge Community College in 2001. She has been working with animals since 1993. She has been employed at WAH since August 2005.  She also works at the Augusta SPCA.  She currently lives in Fisherville with her pets, which include two chihuahuas, Rilee and Rascal, two Min Pins BlackJack, and Destiny, and her cat. Her hobbies include watching movies, listening to music, and reading.
